Abu Dhabi, Sunday 8th April, 2012
It was the exciting and positive reviews gathered on the job shadowing exchange assignment that Altaaat Leadership Development Institute had organized in one of its programs that gave birth to the E2 program. Drawn from the program’s Arabic title ‘Edaratee Edaratak’, meaning “My Department Your Department”, the E2 program comes to pair participants holding same level leadership and management positions, to engage them in the temporary exchange of one of each of those participating manager’s subordinates for two days. Once completed the activity is then followed by a subsequent job shadowing exchange exercise between these two participating managers.
The program facilitates for participants, holding senior leadership and managerial positions, a fun, memorable and valuable experience that allows them to learn in a very dynamic and interactive way more about themselves and their leadership and management style but also exposes them to the leadership and management styles and techniques embraced by their peers.
Abu Dhabi Economic Department (ADED) willingly stepped forward as a candidate organization to pilot the program on. The E2 assignment is targeted for roll out at the ADED throughout the month of April.
Commenting on the program, was Mrs. Mariam Alsuwaidi, head of learning and development at the ADED and project coordinator “what interested us in this program, was the fact that it is learning delivered outside the typical classroom setting we have grown used to, it offers us the opportunity to assume our own individual roles as coaches and teachers to and for each other, we are excited for this program to be piloted at our organization and we look forward to share our experience with other organizations”.
The E2 program is offered to interested organizations as a tools and implementation support package, but also as a tools and guidelines package for those organizations interested to implement the program themselves. For more information, please email email@example.com.
